Divorce or Reconciliation?

One of the toughest decisions to make when facing a difficult moment in a marriage is whether to divorce or reconcile. Neither path is easy. If you choose divorce, you have to start over in every way. You have to split your assets and deal with the emotionally charged issue of custody of children and even pets. As if that were not enough, you also have to start dating again and searching for a new soul mate. This will be more difficult than the first time, because you will probably be more cynical and distrusting based on your current experience.

Reconciliation is not easy either. One or both partners have to admit that they are flawed or have made mistakes. No one likes to admit these things and few even try to change. Fixing a marriage, however, requires that both partners figure out what is wrong and make superhuman efforts to fix it.

The path you choose will determine whether you need a marriage counselor or a divorce attorney. Hopefully, the books and advertising that are featured in this blog can be of service.
